  1. I have a blue-and-green Vera Wang cloth bag that I carry everywhere and wash it every six months!
The days of my coordinating designer leather or crocodile purses with each outfit are long gone, though it was a lot of fun at the time!

    1. Totally agree. However, I am still such a die-hard fashion person that I covet beautiful accessories. The apparel has become very simple. For the most part it's either black or white.

  2. I usually daily carry/wear a shoulder bag. Seems my hands are always holding things and a shoulder bag works best for me.

    1. Me too, shoulder bag with only 1 strap. Cannot handle TWO straps.

  3. First, I would like to thank you for the most beautiful music to enjoy while I read your post and others.
As far as handbags, I too love one that I can wash thoroughly, since my bag is everywhere. Also I love a bag that holds my items and I can get to them easy. My granddaughters love going through my purse and it is fun to watch what they most enjoy about the secret pockets. Simple bag with lots of little extras on the inside is the one for me.

    1. I could not resist having Rhianna & JT on the playlist. I love both of them. I know it's cheesy but I think JT cannot do anything wrong. And, Rhianna can definitely sing!

  4. First let me thank you for the absolutely beautiful music that I enjoy while reading your post and others.
Now as far as a favorite handbag, I must say I also like being able to give mine a through washing. My bag seems to be in a great deal of places and sometimes on the floor. I also love that a bag has a colorful inside. My granddaughters love going through the bag and finding the secret compartments. One shoulder strap also for comfort.

  5. Yes, user friendly! Must be user-friendly. Doesn't matter if it's beautiful if it doesn't work for you.
Thank you, Rita, for this lovely comment about the music. I spend a lot of time choosing music for each season and for the moods of the moment.

  6. I'm carrying a bucket bag these days. I have to make do with a vintage Coach, but I have my eyes on a navy one by Loewes. Unfortunately, made and apparently sold only in Europe!

  7. metallic shoulder bag, with exterior pockets.... now. Leopard and black leather double strap bag. Has to have straps, or I get frustrated.

  8. I carry a satchel shaped bag almost exclusively now. I like to be able to hold it by my forearm and hand. Shoulder bags hurt my neck now. The days of my switching out my bag for each outfit are long behind me also. I like a clutch for evening that I can tuck under my arm. These days I'm carrying a vintage Kate Spade, faux fur leopard bag with black handles. Xoxo

  9. Oooh the bags are gorgeous. I love the leopard one. It's good to be back here. I hope you have been well.

  10. Rarely the same bag twice in a row for me…i still love to switch bags to suit the outfit…though as I don't carry much apart from keys, purse, lipstick and phone in my bags it isn't a hassle to switch each day…I have a collection of vintage handbags and contemporary shoulder bags…but my favourite ones have lots of zippered pockets so it's easy to separate the items..When I buy new ones now they have to be faux leather or fabric…although I still wear the vintage ones which are leather...

  11. I have and use a sturdy, black nylon Lancel tote I bought years ago. Wider than it is long, with an outside pocket for my sunglasses, handle is the perfect drop length for my personal shoulder. The bottom is reinforced so there is no droop when I load it up. Wish I would have gotten several. A little scratched now, it is my Platonic ideal of a handbag.

  12. Well you know I still bring that fabulous Studded Tote to all my design meetings and into the D&D to grab samples and everyone loves it!!! I love that little clutch.. I think thats next!

  13. I carry a shoulder bag because I like to have my hands free. No long straps or cross-body bags b/c I think it's unflattering to have a bag resting on my hips (don't need things to appear any wider!). I like compartments to keep things organized, but very simple on outside. Don't like lots of hardware. I wish I could carry a clutch, but can't fit everything in. I don't switch up my purses very much anymore either. Too much work!

  14. I just came from VICKI's post!It thrilled me as I have been trying to scale down what I tote about!I just changed my handbag for our trip to SCOTTSDALE last week.I went from a leather burgundy Winter bag to a small cloth bag that has no depth to it!EASY TO FIND what one is searching for!Although, the fabric bag isNOT really me!I love the large tote bags………...

  15. I have to confess that I carry a fairly large bag most of the time. Living in NYC for so many years left me used to taking everything I might possibly need for the day in one bag. I need to break that habit! The one in your photos most like what I have is the last one, the brown, oblong style. I tend to change my bags each day as well.

  16. I love this post! Well, I am usually a hobo girl. I am looking for a bucket bag that I love for the summer. I love clutches for going out but usually I need to have my hands free. However, I am adoring the whole clutch look, love, love, love it. I always travel with a cute tote for the ipad etc.

  17. Because of where I live, I must confess Marsha that the handbag I won from you is THE one I carry most of the time. It's just fabulous & I've never received so many compliments from any bag ever. It's the beige color one with the straw look effect on one side. It's large & cool & works with anything. I probably should not say that because it will cast me aside from a chance at another bag-win.

For your market research study, mine is large, square-ish, double shoulder & sling handles, pocket on the outside as well as inside & roomy.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
